Thank you, S

It was not an easy decision, but I decided to go ahead with letting my manager know about me leaving. Not throwing the letter upfront, but letting her know that she should start finding someone to cover my work scope. Despite my usual rants about how double standard she can be, honestly she is a really good boss. She has her fair share of difficult times, but she never leaves the team to fight the war alone. I am proud of who she is.

She told me that she has met nasty bosses before who left the blame to the team instead of taking it up. Politics. And so, she decided that she will never become such a boss in future. Not easy to be who she is trying to be, I give her respect for this.

In reality, experiences make us grow into someone better. Although you are who you are, you learn from experiences and make it a point of who you do not want to turn out to be like. This would be my greatest takeaway and the greatest lesson that she has given me.

It is not because you are not enough to make me stay or have only managed to keep me for so long. It is because you never give up on us which earned our respect. You are a irreplaceable trainer in my life and may the company change for the better and your life be more peaceful.

Toxic

Although I know that it is toxic to constantly talk about resigning, it gives a slight relief that I am not alone. How crazy it is for the roles to change and change within a short span of 1 week? If it is not confirmed, then you don't make the changes!

See! At least I voiced out when the hire was incorrect. I have no idea why you have to forced it through. Does it satisfy you to have the person coming in for a few weeks and then leave? How much administrative work will that be? Of course you wouldn't know. Because you don't even do it.

Only my parents have the right to lecture me. Who are you to do so? I'm not your kid, I'm just someone who is getting a pay check from you. I am being paid for my hard work, not paid to let you lecture. I gritted my teeth through for two years so that I learn as much as I can, but everyone has a limit to tolerance. I'm at my limits. There are plenty of ways to show authority, but not by fucking scolding.

I heard of a saying - Most local companies will not live pass three generations. I think this will at at the second generation. You can be smart at getting businesses, but you need a team to fulfil the business. That team, I wonder how long will they be able to take your nonsense.

Positivity, where can I find you?
